Job Description: Youth Ministry
Mid Size congregation has a part-time opening in youth ministry. This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and participate in youth programs and events
  2. Oversee and implement the following programs:
    • Youth Mission Trip
    • National, Synod & Conference Youth Gatherings
    • Youth Yard Sale
    • Youth Bible Studies / Discussion groups
    • Monthly youth outings or service projects
    • Youth retreats
    • Sporting events (volleyball, basketball)
    • Camping
  3. Develop an action plan for LLYO, JLYO & LYO
  4. Work with the Youth Committee to involve other adults in helping with the youth program.
  5. Attend Youth Committee Meetings.

Qualifications
Education and Experience: Committed Christian. Will consider lay persons prepared in educational programming or rostered clergy considering a part-time capacity.

Degree or Formal Training:  Degree Preferred in the areas of Education, Recreation, Ministry or demonstrated experience building an active fellowship / ministry program. Consideration given for lay professional certifications.

Additional Information:

A valid driver's license is required. Applicant must also agree to a background check and drug screen.

Job Description: Family Ministry Mid Size congregation has a part-time opening in family ministry. This position will work with established committees – Women of the Church, Parish Ed, Social Concerns, and Evangelism - to build and coordinate programming. This includes but is not limited to increasing participation in bible studies, fellowship and developing volunteer/ small group and Wednesday evening ministries.

As congregation programs grow, this position is intended to supervisor a 2nd part-time Youth Ministry position.

This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and oversee all parish education programs
  2. Oversee and manage the following programs:
    • Sunday School
    • Vacation Bible School
    • Wednesday night ministry activities
    • Confirmation/Campfirmation
    • Bible studies for all ages
    • First Communion Classes
    • New Member Classes
    • Ecumenical activities between churches
    • Neighbor outreach projects
    • Tutoring and mentoring program coordination
  3. Develop a network of small groups for Bible Studies, care & support, and topical studies of views / ideas.
  4. Attend Parish Education Committee Meetings.
